Marketplace Open

Steam news for app 4892010, posted around launch as THE MARKETPLACE IS OPENING FOR EVERYONE!, is the first live patch this wiki can cite by title. Official text, dated Friday 28 August 2026: the Marketplace is now available to all players if you update the game; the access is temporary; Stream On will return to the previous phase soon; stay tuned.

That is not a permanent economy flip. Treat it as a special phase. The long-form trading rules still live on Steam Market. This page is the patch card: what changed, what did not, and how not to panic-sell a Collector while the tab is hot.

What the note actually says

  • Update the client. An old build may still show a locked Market tab even though the news post is live.
  • Every player can use Marketplace during this window, not only a test cohort or a Discord key list.
  • The studio already warns the window will close. Do not build a lifestyle around infinite listings.
  • No loot-box language. No “we now sell power” language. The store copy about a player-driven Steam Community Market still stands.

If your Market tab is empty after update, relink the BombFarm account from Getting Started and restart Steam. Broadband is still required. Family Sharing does not clone a second farm for listings.

What did not change

Combat is still single-player. Other people still do not walk onto your Battle grid. House capsules still recover energy. Ritual still walks gear from +0 toward +15. The skill tree is still account-wide. Inferno is still a five-star Map track, not a Market rank.

Multi-account farming to seed listings is still the abuse case Stream On posted about before launch. A wider Market does not make extra farms legal. Valve Wallet bans do not care that the phase is “temporary.”

Gold already prints with many digits on launch screenshots. That is not a reason to list the helmet on your climb dock. Roles, stars, and identified rares are still the scarce layer. The review called the overlay honest on paper; this patch does not rewrite that sentence.

How to play the window

  1. Identify sealed drops in Ritual before you list them. Buyers will not pay for a brick.
  2. Keep one wearer and one fusion fooder per role. Fusion still owns last copies.
  3. Price against real Steam listings of the same item, after fees.
  4. Do not dump Uncommons because the tab finally opened. Gold already prints huge numbers. Roles are the scarce thing.
  5. Screenshot what you listed. When the previous phase returns, you will want a record.

If you have not named Farm, Climb, and Spare docks, close Market and open the squad planner. A listing cannot replace a missing Support. If House pods are still locked, buy a slot before you become a trader. Overnight Easy still pays better than a panic listing of your only Rare.

Who this window is for

It is for players who already have overflow: a second Collector piece, a sealed drop they identified and will not wear, a duplicate after a keeper exists. It is not for day-one accounts that just linked Steam. If Dawn Quarry is still the pin, you are a miner. Come back to Market after progression has given you extras.

It is also for people who missed a closed test and thought Market was invite-only. The news post answers that: update, then the tab should open. If it does not, you have an account or client problem, not a hidden rank gate we can document.

Fees, Wallet, Discord

Steam takes a fee. A listing that only works before fees does not work. Wallet funds are not Bomb Farm gold. Do not treat a sale as a damage potion. Put Wallet into the next Ritual sink or leave it.

Discord still exists for character votes and test keys. The invite that circulated is on community links. Discord is not Market escrow. If a buyer asks you to jump off-platform for a “better price,” stop. That advice is older than this patch and still correct.

Temporary, then what

“Return to the previous phase” can mean a lock, a queue, a level gate, or a region test. This wiki will not invent which. When the next Steam news post lands, it goes here and on the Updates Hub. Until then, assume the tab can vanish again and do not list the only Rare you own.

Mailbox surprises and Discord character votes are a different channel. They do not replace this patch. Check mail, then check Market, then go back to Battle on Easy if the dock is thin. Energy still pays the overnight bill. Seasons is still a policy page, not a calendar; this Market window is not a season reset.

Play the mine first. List overflow second. When the special phase ends, you still have five worlds, 21 Steam trophies, and a House that needs bodies more than it needs listings.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is the Bomb Farm Marketplace open to everyone?

Yes, during this Steam-announced window, after you update the client. The studio says access is temporary.

Should I sell my whole House?

No. Keep wearers and last copies. See fusion and Steam Market.

Does a wider Market mean the game sells power now?

Official store copy still says no loot boxes and no selling power. Listings are player-to-player on Steam.

What if the tab locks again?

That is what "previous phase" implies. Do not list unique pieces you still need on progression.
