Bomb Farm Steam Market
Player listings, no loot boxes, and why extra accounts are a bad idea.
Bomb Farm’s economy is the Steam Community Market. Official copy: rare items can be traded with other players on that Market; the rarest finds become legends; the studio never sells power or loot boxes. The in-client tab is labeled Market. It is not a separate gold auction house. Listings settle in Steam Wallet according to Valve’s rules, on top of whatever the BombFarm account already requires.
This is still a single-player idle RPG. Other players do not enter your Battle grid. They show up as buy orders and sell orders. If you want a shared Battle instance, this is the wrong game — Steam lists single-player only, and the review will not pretend otherwise.
Launch window
Steam news opened Marketplace to every player after an update. Access is temporary and will return to the previous phase. The full patch card is Marketplace Open. Still do not multi-account. Still do not dump your only Rare.
What belongs on the Market
List a drop when all of these are true:
- You can explain the affix in one sentence.
- Squads A, B, and C do not need it. Three teams exist for a reason; read energy before you sell a Collector piece.
- It is not your only copy of a fusion fooder you still plan to star in Ritual.
- The listing price is a real Steam Market number, not a joke that will sit unsold until a season ends.
Do not list junk Uncommons on day one. Do not list the helmet on your dock because gold already displays nine digits. Screenshots from the store already show gold past a billion; gold is not the scarce resource. Roles, stars, and Inferno-ready attributes are.
What does not belong on the Market
Power you still wear. The last copy of a Specialist. Anything you do not understand. Anything you obtained in a way Valve or Stream On would call multi-accounting.
The developer posted, before launch, about keeping a healthy Steam marketplace free from multi-account abuse. That is a live policy, not flavor text. Extra farms to seed your main is how idle Market games get Wallet bans. This wiki will not help you design that.
How to use the tab without hurting yourself
- Finish Getting Started so the BombFarm account is actually linked. Unlinked clients are not Market clients.
- Identify the item in Ritual so buyers see the attribute, not a sealed brick.
- Compare similar listings on Steam’s own Market UI, not only the in-game tab.
- Price under the lowest listing that is actually the same item, or wait. Do not undercut into dust.
- After a sale, put Wallet funds into the next Ritual sink or leave them. Do not immediately buy a random Rare because the number feels like a win.
Steam takes a fee. Factor it. If a listing only works before fees, it does not work.
Fair by nature, with receipts
Official: free to play, no loot boxes, they do not sell power. Launch reviews still mention a monthly crystal pack that some Brazilian players called expensive. Those two facts can both be true: the studio can refuse to sell damage, and a convenience pack can still exist. Treat IAP as optional. If a pack ever includes a damage stat, that is a policy break and belongs on updates.
Chinese and English reviews that say “you have to spend” are talking about patience, not a hidden pay-to-win SKU we can document. The How to Play loop is designed to take months. Five worlds, five difficulties, 600 stages — that is the monetization of time, which is honest for an idle RPG.
Market and the skill tree
Do not sell a node-unlock item because a stranger’s listing looks high. Account unlocks on the skill tree are often unique. Gear with a boring affix is the tradable layer. When in doubt, keep the item for a week. Deep Glacier is still locked for most launch players; you do not know your endgame role yet.
Practical etiquette
- Name items clearly if the client lets you.
- Do not spam listings of the same unsellable potion.
- Do not trade off-platform for the same item. That is how accounts vanish.
- If a buyer asks you to jump to Discord for a “better price,” stop. The Market exists so you do not have to.
Discord is still useful for character votes and keys during tests. See community links for the invite; keys and votes are not Market escrow. The official community link circulated around discord.com/invite/TUxAAyHb6.
When you have more rares than roles, you are doing the game correctly. When you have more listings than squads, you are doing the Market too early. Build the squad, then sell the overflow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is Bomb Farm pay-to-win?
Official copy says no loot boxes and no selling power. Trading is Steam Market. Optional IAP exists; treat it as convenience until updates say otherwise.
Can I trade with friends in Battle?
No. The game is single-player. Trading is Market listings, not a party stash.
Should I make extra accounts to farm the Market?
No. Stream On has already talked about multi-account abuse. That is a ban path, not a strategy.
